Shelby County is fortunate to have a portion of the 83 mile long Big Blue River run from the northeast corner of the county in Morristown to the southwest corner in Edinburgh. A portion of this stretch passes right through the center of downtown Shelbyville. While visiting the Shelby Mills development behind the Porter Center, one can now step onto the river deck and enjoy a beautiful view of the Big Blue. This new addition to the Shelby Mills development is part of the GIFT VII Implementation Grant program provided by Lilly Endowment Inc.
